Jade Checkerboard Mahjong Tiles

A traditional American mahjong set in deep green and red, with tile backs drawn as a soft wavy checkerboard in jade.

Four layers, not one. Each tile is built up from white, navy and green acrylic under a clear top layer. You can see the stack on the edge of every tile, and the clear layer sits over the colour so the paint can't rub away with play.

Classic faces. Craks in red Chinese numerals, bams drawn as bamboo, dots as concentric rings, and a green dragon. Every numbered tile carries a small Arabic numeral in the corner, so you can read a wall from across the table.

What's included. 166 acrylic tiles — the full American complement with Jokers and spares — plus 2 dice, a storage organiser and a guide.

Choose your case. The bag set ships in a soft drawstring bag, 11.8" × 15.7". The box set ships in a white zip case with a carry handle and a window lid, 9.8" × 7.5" × 3.7".

Tile size — worth reading before you order. These tiles are deliberately larger than a conventional American tile: 1.42" × 1.02" × 0.63", against roughly 1.18" × 0.87" × 0.47" for a standard one. They are easier to read and sit more solidly in the hand, but they will not fit racks or pushers built for standard tiles. Measure yours first if you plan to use the ones you own.

Care. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry immediately. Don't soak.

Made to order. Allow 10–15 business days. Free shipping in the US. Order by November 13 if it's a Christmas gift.
